ABSTRACT
The high rate of sexual violence in Indonesia is one of the phenomena that is widely heard by the public. This has a serious impact on psychological trauma, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, feelings of insecurity, and sudden changes in behavior. Acts of sexual violence are inhumane acts, most of the victims of which are women. The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) recorded at least 495 cases of sexual violence against women in Riau Province from January 1, 2024 to December 18, 2024. The problem that arises is the gap in the number of supporting facilities that provide a safe space where victims can recover from trauma and receive treatment so that victims can slowly return to society and the social environment and live their daily lives. For this reason, a rehabilitation place for victims is needed to cure psychological problems that arise due to the sexual violence they experience. In addition to being a healing therapy, it is also a place that aims to protect and accommodate victims of sexual violence. The design of this object applies the application of therapeutic architecture by utilizing architecture as a tool that helps buildings fulfill their main purpose, namely as a means of treatment, recovery, and healing.
