Penerapan Prinsip Arsitektur Multisensori Pada Perancangan Museum Seni Interaktif Di Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
The decline in museum visitation in Pekanbaru indicates a neglect of the museum’s core function as a space for public education and recreation. In the midst of rapid technological development, museums are required to adapt and transform into more dynamic, interactive, and relevant institutions, particularly for the younger generation, which holds significant potential in Pekanbaru. The design of an Interactive Art Museum using a Multisensory Architecture approach is proposed as a solution to offer experiences that are not only informative but also enjoyable and immersive. This approach emphasizes the engagement of all visitor senses through visual, auditory, tactile, and other sensory stimuli. The immersive spatial concept allows visitors to actively interact and become fully absorbed in atmospheres shaped by digital art installations. Thus, the museum functions not only as a repository of artifacts but also as a space for deep, emotional, and meaningful experiences in the digital era.
