Efektivitas Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tepung Daun Sirsak (Annona Muricata L.) Terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak Jagung Spodoptera Frugiperda J. E. Smith Di Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
Spodoptera frugiperda is a pest that can cause the failure of the formation of young leaves on corn plants because it attacks the growing point of plants and causes yield loss on corn plants up to 15-73%. The control that is still often carried out to control S. frugiperda is using chemical insecticides, but this has various negative impacts. Insecticide soursop leaf powder (Annona muricata L.) can be a safe alternative for controlling S. frugiperda. This study aims to obtain the concentration of the extract soursop leaf powder (Annona muricata L.) effective against the mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pests, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in July to September 2024, using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and four replications so that 20 experimental units were obtained with various concentrations. Treatment application consists of concentration 0 g.l-1 water, 2 g.l-1 water, 50 g.l-1 water, 75 g.l-1 water and 100 g.l-1 water soursop leaf powder extract. Observation parameters consisted of initial time of death, lethal time 50, lethal concentration (LC50 and LC95), daily mortality, total mortality, changes in behavior and morphology of larvae as well as temperature and humidity. The results showed that the difference in concentration had a significant effect on the death of S. frugiperda. The effective concentration is 100 g.l-1 soursop leaf powder extract with a total mortality of 85%, initial time of death 21 hours and lethal time 50 at 42.75 hours after application. The exact concentration of soursop leaf powder extract to control 50% of S. frugiperda is 2,62% or the equivalent of 26,2 g.l-1 water.
