ABSTRACT
Modern music has become an essential part of human life as time progresses, serving as entertainment, self-expression, and a tool for learning. The interest in modern music has grown, especially among the younger generation. This can be seen in the numerous concerts held by famous artists in Pekanbaru, as well as the many music-related facilities available. However, facilities to support musical activities are still limited, particularly in Pekanbaru, which is the location for this design project. Therefore, the Modern Music Center is designed to provide comprehensive facilities, including studio spaces, classrooms, recording rooms, karaoke rooms, and concert halls, to support various musical activities. This design adopts a folding architecture approach, emphasizing folding art in its structural application to withstand loads through its folding forms while considering the building's shape. The "Melody Beat" concept blends functionality and aesthetics, aiming to reflect the essence of music into the building, focusing on the application of folding architecture in its form. The design offers spaces that support musical activities and inspire its users. The Modern Music Center is expected to become a place that meets the needs and provides facilities for all activities related to the development of modern music.
