Uji Antibakteri Dan Fitokimia Ekstrak Daun Rhizophora Mucronata Terhadap Bakteri Patogen
Mangroves are important ecosystems that contain various bioactive compounds. Rhizophora mucronata is one of the potential mangrove species, but information on the content of active compounds in its leaves is still limited. This study aims to identify secondary metabolite compounds in ethanol extract of Rhizophora mucronata leaves through qualitative phytochemical tests. The research was conducted in March-May 2025 in Bandar Bakau mangrove area, Dumai. Extraction was carried out by maceration method using 96% ethanol, and phytochemical tests were carried out on seven groups of compounds. The results showed that the extract contained alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and phenolics, while steroids and triterpenoids were not detected. The content of these compounds indicates that R. mucronata leaves have the potential as a source of natural bioactive compounds for the development of pharmaceutical and health products. Further research is needed for specific isolation and identification of active compounds.
