Pengendalian Sampah Padatempat Penampungan Sementara (Tps) Ilegal Di Kecamatan Bukit Raya Kota Pekanbaru

Waste is a never-ending problem, one of which is the existence of ilegal Temporary Shelters (TPS) which are increasing in every corner of Pekanbaru City. Many people still throw away waste not according to the schedule and permitted places, making this waste problem difficult to eliminate. Of course, this is a target for the Pekanbaru City Environmental and Sanitation Service in supervising irresponsible individuals in order to minimize the spread of ilegal TPS. The purpose of this study is to determine how supervision is carried out by the Pekanbaru City Environmental and Sanitation Service, especially in Bukit Raya District. Based on the problems encountered in this study, they were identified using the theory of Amirullah and Budiyono in Saleh (2019). This type of research is a study that uses a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study show that the community still does not understand the waste disposal schedule that has been set. In this case, the attention of the Pekanbaru City government is very much needed in the law enforcement process and supervision related to waste control at ilegal temporary shelters (TPS) in Bukit Raya District can be carried out optimally. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the supervision of the Pekanbaru City Environmental and Sanitation Service is still not optimal, this is because in 2023 the number of ilegal TPS increased sharply.
