Rancang Bangun Sistem Absensi Siswa Berbasis Android Dengan Fitur Face Recognition Dan Geofence
ABSTRACT
The attendance system is a crucial component in the administrative activities of educational institutions. SMA Negeri 6 Tualang still uses a manual attendance system, which presents several drawbacks such as the potential for fraud, inefficiency, and vulnerability to data loss. This research aims to implement a student attendance system based on face recognition and geofence technology to improve the accuracy and efficiency of attendance recording. The methods used include the experimental method to test the system's effectiveness and the prototyping method for system development. The application was developed using Flutter for the Android platform and Laravel-PHP/MySQL for the website backend.
The results indicate that the attendance system was successfully implemented and met user needs. The attendance feature, which integrates facial recognition and geofence location validation, can automatically verify student presence upon arrival and departure. Functional testing using black box testing showed that all features operated correctly, with a 100% success rate. Additionally, the system provides online leave request features, automated attendance data recapitulation, and informative dashboards for administrators and homeroom teachers. Evaluation using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) showed highly positive results, with an efficiency score of 2.274 and a perspicuity score of 2.369, indicating that the system is easy to use, efficient, and clear. Thus, the system enhances attendance data accuracy, reduces the possibility of fraud, and supports improved student discipline.
