Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Rimpang Jahe Merah (Zingiber officinale Rosc. var. Rubrum) Untuk Mengendalikan Jamur Patogen Terbawa Benih Kedelai Dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Daya Kecambah Benih
The aim of this research was to test the ability of some consentrations of
red ginger rhizome extract that could control the soybean’s seed borne fungal
pathogens and its effect to the seed germination. This research utilize Complete
Random Design (RAL) with 5 treatment and 4 dry run. The treatments were
J0: without consentration of red ginger rhizome extract (0%), J1: 5% extract
consentration, J2: 10% extract consentration, J3: 15% extract consentration, and
J4: 20% extract consentration. Analyse of data by using The Analysis of Variance
(ANOVA) and tests continuation by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test
(DNMRT) on level 5%.
The result indicated that the application of red ginger rhizome extract with
different consentrations could control the seed borne fungal pathogens, those were
Fusarium spp and Rhizoctonia sp. The highest extract consentration (20%) gave
the highest resistance effect of growth of seed borne fungal pathogens colony and
the lower percentage of seed borne fungal patoghens’s infection, but red ginger
rhizome extract could decreased the seed germination.
