THE INFLUENCES OF INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION TO
EMPLOYE’S PERFORMANCE AT SEKRETARIAT DAERAH KOTA
PEKANBARU

Interpersonal communication is an effective communication because it is
dyadic dan we’ll get the direct feedback. Interpersonal communication influences
the performance of employes in organization. Secretariat Daerah Kota Pekanbaru
is a central government in Pekanbaru, there are meny employes do the
communication everyday to reach the vision dan mission of Pekanbaru city.
The study used quantitative descriptive method, which the data collect by
using observations, questionnaires and library research. The data measurement
techniques was using Likert scale. X variable is interpersonal communications
employee, while the Y variable is performance of employee in Sekretariat Daerah
Kota Peknabaru. The researcher took 47 person as sample using the proporsional
sampling technique. Test data processing is done by using Statistyc Program
Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 17 for windows.
The result of this study show that the interpersonal communication
influences of employee performance in Sekretariat Daerah Kota Pekanbaru.taht
is based on data analysis using Simple Linear Regresion result, Y =
25,682+0,261X, wich is t calculate is 1, 007 greater than t table 0,2876, with a
significance level of 0,001 smaller than the α = 0,05 and R2 = 0,025. It means that
Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, then the influence between interpersonal
communication and performance employee was 2,5 % and include by low categories.
