Mutu Fisiologis Benih Kedelai (Glycine max L. Merril) Yang Dipupuk Dengan Dua Aplikasi Nitrogen
Soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill) is the main crops are likely to be
increased production through improved cultivation techniques and existing
varieties, one of which creates a good seed to support plant growth and
development. Seed quality can be seen through the physiological quality of seeds,
which are good physiological quality is expected to increase yields in soybean
plants.
This study aims to determine whether the means of application of fertilizer
nitrogen to soybean plants during reproductive growth can affect the quality of the
various genotypes of soybean seeds. The research was conducted at the
Experimental Garden and Plant Breeding Laboratory of the Faculty of
Agriculture, University of Riau. Research carried out for four months in the field
starting from November 2010 to February 2011 and in the laboratory during the
first month is the month of May 2011.
The research was conducted using a complete randomized block design
(RAKL) are arranged in a factorial with two factors. The first factor is the soybean
cultivars and the second factor is the Nitrogen Fertilizer Application. The
parameters observed were 100 seed weight, seed moisture content, test the first
count, germination test, germination test and a test speed of growth of sprouts.
The results showed that nitrogen fertilizer application in some soybean cultivars
significantly affect the physiological quality of seeds for the observation of 100
seed weight, test the first count, germination test, test the speed of germination,
plumule length and radikel. Application of nitrogen fertilizer (urea) 50 kg / ha at
planting and 50 kg / ha at flowering in soybean seed cultivars G-13 ED, better
quality compared to physiological nitrogen fertilizer application at planting only.
