Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Tepung Daun Sirih Hutan (Piper aduncum L.) Untuk Mengendalikan Keong Emas (Pomacea sp.) Pada Tanaman Padi (Oryzae sativa L.)
Rice (Oryzae sativa L.) is one of the main staple food in Indonesia. The are many factors that affect the level of production is very important to note. Rice production in the province of Riau year in 2011 – 2012 has decreased production of 53,578 tons to 45,434 tons. This is because of golden sanil pest (Pomacea sp.). Control efforts undertaken by farmers is the use of synthetic chemical pesticides, but this can cause negative impacts such as pest resistance, pest resurgence and environmen pollution. Therefore, need another method for controlling golden snails is the use of botanical pesticides, base ingredients of plant such as Piper aduncum L. This method is save for environment. The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau And Agribusiness Incubator University of Riau Pekanbaru, from July to September 2012. This eksperiment aims to optain the exact concentration of Piper aduncum L. leaf starch. The experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatmens are SH0 (Piper aduncum L. leaf starch extract 0 g/l of water), SH1 (Piper aduncum L. leaf starch extract 25 g/l of water), SH2 (Piper aduncum L. leaf starch extract 50 g/l of water), SH3 (Piper aduncum L. leaf starch extract 75 g/l of water), SH4 (Piper aduncum L. leaf starch extract 100 g/l of water). The result showed that application of 100 g/l of water wash abel to kill golden snails pest 87.50%. The exact concentration that kill 95% of golden snail is 9.64% and 5.39% to kill 50% of golden snail.
