Upaya Thailand Dalam Penanggulangan Drugs Trafficking Menuju Drug-Free Asean 2015
This study to describes the efforts of Thailand in response to drugs trafficking to the Drug-Free ASEAN 2015. The purpose of this study was First, to determine the general condition of drugs trafficking in Thailand and ASEAN countries; Second, to determine the extent of the efforts made Thailand in tackling the problem of drugs trafficking to the Drug-Free ASEAN 2015; and Third, to determine cooperation in tackling the drug problem against in Thailand and ASEAN countries to the Drug-Free ASEAN 2015.
The theory in this study using the Global Epidemic Model (GEM). This theory to describes the conditions in which outbreaks of infectious diseases caused by infectious and non-infectious disease in the community in a broad geographical, one of which drug use is more widespread and easier to obtain. The hypothesis of this study is Thailand seeks to tackle drugs trafficking as a boost to the Drug-Free ASEAN 2015. The research using qualitative methods and techniques of writing using library research. The research data was obtained from journals, books, official reports, papers, articles, and websites.
Establishment of a Joint Declaration for a Drug-Free ASEAN 2015 made Thailand seeks to combating drugs trafficking. By launching a war on drugs, a strategy in controlling drugs trafficking, strengthen laws drugs governing, petrified treatment and rehabilitation, sustainable alternative development plan and conduct bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The results of these efforts is the reduction in land used for growing opium, marijuana and kratom, reduced the number of cases of drug abuse, and increase public awareness of the consequences that occur when using the drugs.
