Penerapan Strategi Pembelajaran Aktif Tipe Card Sort (Kartu Sortir) Untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Pada Pokok Bahasan Struktur Atom Dan Sistem Periodik Unsur Di Kelas Xi Sma Negeri 2 Xiii Koto Kampar
Research on the strategy of active learning with Card Sort type has been conducted to improve student achievement on the topic atomic structure and periodic systems of elements at class XI IPA SMAN 2 XIII Koto Kampar. This research is experimental research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The sample took in the 19 August – 04 September 2013. The sample consisted of two classes, XI IPA 2 class as experimental class and XI IPA 2 class as control class. Experimental Class is the class that active learning with card sort type and Control Class is the class with no active learning with card sort type. Analyze of data by used t-test formula. Result of data processing obtained tcount>ttable is 3,84 > 1,67. It means that the application of active learning with card sort type can improve student achievement on the topic atomic structure and periodic system of elements at class XI SMAN 2 XIII Koto Kampar. The improvement of student’s achievement in experiment class was N-gain score 0,71 that included in high category.
