The infestation of intestinal worms is still a public health problem in Indonesia. Themost common intestinal worm that cause health problems is soil transmitted Helminths (STH). The species of STH are Ascarislumbricoides (A.lumbricoides), Trichuristrichiura (T.trichiura) and hookworms (Necatoramericanus and Ancylostomaduodenale). The most prevalent incidence of STH infestation is on the children of primary school age. The severity of STH infection’s clinical symptoms depends on the number of intestinal worm that infect the children’s body. The more number of worm infestations in the body, the more severe the symptoms can be happen. The riverside area with a poor hygiene is one of the high risk place for the STH infections. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of STH infestation using katokatz method in student of 001,004 and 024 elementary school atPetapahan and Petapahan Jaya, Tapung, Kampar. The number of students that will be participate are 121 students. Feces examination results obtained 10.7% STH infestation withA.lumbricoides incidence rate of 0.8%, T.trichiura 3.3%, hookworm1.7%, A.lumbricoides + T.trichiura 4.1% and T.trichiura+ hookworm 0.8%. Based on the staging of STH, we found mild and moderate stage of A.lumbricoides infestationrespectively in3 students. Mild stage of T.trichiurainfestation found in 10 students. And we found mild, moderate and severe infestationof hookworm infestation respectively of one student.
