Pengaruh Kompetensi Dan Pengawasan Terhadap Profesionalisme Guru Di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru
The progress in educational technology requires high professionalism teachers, in which high competency and effective supervision become the factors that may enhance teachers’ professionalism. This research held in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, in order to analyze the influence of competency and supervision to teachers’ proffesionalism. Population are all teachers, consist of 54 people. Sampling number taken by using cencus method. Competency and supervision used as independent, while professionalism used as dependent variable. Data analyzed by using multiple regression analysis by using SPSS 17 for windows. Result of this study shows that both competency and supervision significantly influence, either in simultenously or partially, to teachers’ proffesionalism. Competency is the dominant factor that influence teachers’ proffesionalism. Study reveals that 82,6% of teachers’ professionalism can be described by the variation changing of competency and supervision. It is recommended to conduct educational dan training program which is focused on the enhancement of intellectual, interpersonal, adaptability and orientation capacity. Principal’s supervision, preventively or correctively, need to be conducted more effectively. Keywords: Competency, Supervision and Proffesionalism
