Potensi Pengembangan Industri Pengolahan Pupuk Kompos Di Kota Pekanbaru

As a capital city of Riau province, Pekanbaru has a fast growing economic and people growth. Pekanbaru is also a center for government, education, trading, manufacturing, carrying, service, which are connect each other. This busy life create many waste. There are organic and anorganic waste. Based on research about waste in pekanbaru, majority of these wastes come from people's daily activity, market, and TPA (Final waste disposal place. From Descriptive and Kuantitative method analysis, it can be seen that compost fertilizer manufacturing industry is very potential in Pekanbaru if we see from material source which are organic wastes from the three sources mentioned above. From the production cost ( fix and variable cost), the development of compost fertilizer manufacturing industry has a very good chance and economic value if we build it seriously and optimally. Compost fertilizer has a good value because agriculture world nowadays start to use organic fertilizer, such as compost, due to the natural composition, healthiness, safety, and hygienic.
