The bricks in Kuantan Mudik district is a brick made conventionally. From direct observation of the authors in the field, bricks produced in kuantan mudik District can not be said to meet the standards of quality views of sizes and shapes.
The study was conducted in order to determine the quality of the bricks where the testing of samples taken from several brick factories in kuantan mudik District, the brick factories are in the village of Koto Lubuk Jambi, Kasang Village and Pulau Binjai Village. Total number of 35 samples. The study consisted of checking the size, exterior, absorption and compressive strength. Thus it can be seen as well as the quality of the brick quality by comparing the results of studies with SK SNI 15-2094-2000.
Based on the results of the testing and inspection of bricks in the District of Kuantan mudik consisting of brick of Koto Lubuk Jambi village, Kasang Village and Pulau Binjai Village , which has been through examination of the size, exterior, absorption test, salinity and compressive strength by using SK SNI 15-2094-2000 as a benchmark of quality bricks can be seen that the bricks that have been through the testing and examination can not be said to meet the quality standards as building materials, except the salt content of the test results of bricks in Kuantan Mudik district otherwise meet the standards .
