Pemanfaatan Isolat Lokal Trichoderma Asperellum (Lbkurcc1 Dan Lbkurcc2) Untuk Meningkatkan Mutu Kompos Dari Pelepah Kelapa Sawit
Oil palm frond waste can be utilized as compost through fermentation process. This research aimed to study the ability of local bioactivatorsTrichoderma asperellum (LBKURCC1 and LBKURCC2) to degrade palm fronds with a series of pile reversing variation during composting. Composting process was started with chopping palm fronds in a size of ±5 cm, and those chopped palm fronds were arranged into two piles. The first pile consisted of 6 kg of a mixture of palm fronds and chicken manure at a ratio of 2:1. The second pile was composed of 6 kg of a mixture of palm fronds plus chicken manure (2:1) and added with starter which was inoculated as much as 10 % of the total material. The best compost was produced on samples of palm fronds, chicken manure and starter with once pile reversing in every three days. The C/N ratio of the composting product was 11,74, which was in accordance with national standard (SNI) for compost. Levels of N, P, and K were equal to 0.0160 %; 0.5900 %; and 0.01208 % respectively. Composting temperatures on day 21 had reached room temperature, which was 280C. On the other hand, FTIR results indicated that the structure of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin had changed during the period of composting. ANOVA results give significant differences (P˃0,05) to variation of once pile reversing every three days on the rate of decline in C/N ratio.
