This study aims to determine the economic conditions of poor households in the District Crossing Rimba Rokan Hilir. Variable is not bound number of dependents, income, asset ownership, consumption, and variable bound poor household. This research method used descriptive qualitative method to complete this study. The author uses primary data obtained using data collection techniques by observation and questionnaire to obtain the necessary data, as well as secondary data, the sample population was poor in Sub Rimba Melintang. Samples were taken using a multistage random sampling, a sample of the population used as respondents in this study as many as 43 heads of family.To get the class number and frequency distribution table of income and consumption using the formula Sturgess is K = 1 + 3.322 log n in completing this study.This study has shown that the income of poor households on average Rp.1.200.000. the number of dependents in the household average 4orang. In poor households do not all have household assets, land and vehicles.poor household consumption expenditure as much as 500.000 up to Rp.1.000.000.
