Sintesis Dan Uji Toksisitas Senyawa Analog Kalkon Turunan 3’-Hidroksi Asetofenon
Chalcone is one of secondary metabolites of flavonoids that have been reported to possess biological activities such as antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory. Three chalcone analogues i.e., (E)-3-(2,3-dimethoxysiphenyl)-1-(3’-hidroxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (EK-1), (E)-3-(2,5-dimethoxysiphenyl)-1-(3’-hidroxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (EK-2), (E)-1-(3’-hidroxyphenyl)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxysiphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (EK-3) were synthesized under microwave irradiation using base catalyst (KOH). The compounds structure were than characterized based on the interpretation of spectroscopic data included UV, IR, 1H-NMR, and MS. The toxicity of these chalcones were determined using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test method againts larvae of Artemia salina Leach. Our finding showed that LC50 of EK-1, EK-2, EK-3 was 185.35 μg/mL; 135.21 μg/mL; and 408.32 μg/mL respectively. The result showed that EK-1 and EK-2 were potential as anticancer since their LC50 were less than 200 mg/mL.
