This research is a law research sociological research that want to see the unity between law and society with the gap between das solen and das sein that in this study the authors directly conduct research on the locations or places studied in order to give a complete picture and clear about the issues studied, the data source used, primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study with interviews and literature study. From the research, there are three main things that can be summed up in the resolution of criminal cases of polyandry in Police Bukittinggi, first the police are more suggested to the complainant that have internal problems or problems that exist within the family first finish with amicable way and deliberation, the resolution of cases the crime of polyandry through customs by means of deliberation, a third offense by the completion of customary law by the public in accordance with the sense of justice that punishment because dijatuhka more traditional law provides lessons. The author's suggestion is one way of solving by using the technique of settlement through customary law shall be maintained in every problems occurred in the midst of society.
