Penentuan Kinerja Bahan Bakar Dari Campuran Minyak Jelantah Dan Minyak Solar Yang Diolah Dengan Adsorben Detergent Pada Kompor Tungku Sumbu Minyak Tanah
Waste cooking oil is a processed oil that is no longer used for cooking or frying.
The color is usually dark brown or black, depending on the substances previously
processed. The purpose of this research is to determine the performance of
furnace fuel-axis mixture of waste cooking oil and diesel, to determine the effect
of variation of adsorbent mixture with fuel on the performance of kerosene axle
stove and to characterize the fuel used and determine the time the fuel is used. The
research method is done by several stages: preparation of tools and materials,
waste cooking oil characterization, fuel mixing, fuel performance test, and fuel
analysis. The characteristics of used cooking oil are density 0.92 gr / cm3,
viscosity 36.58 m2 / s, heat value 40.254 kJ / kg, moisture 0.8% and flash point
2500C. Based on the research performance of kerosene-axis furnace stove, the
variation of fuel mixture is best in the ratio of 1:9 and 2:8 with detergent
adsorbent as much as 15 gr and is able to boil water as much as 2 liters for 5,06
second.
Keywords: detergent, fuel, waste cooking oil, wick stove.
