Pemanfaatan Limbah Kulit Lobster Sebagai Adsorben Pada Adsorpsi Ion Zn(Ii)
Lobster skin waste is usually only discarded by the community and has not been widely utilized. Therefore, such wastes need serious handling, especially since this waste contains chemical compounds that have the potential to become more useful as a material for adsorbing heavy metals such as Zn. The objective of this study was to find the time of activated lobster skin balance, to analyze the adsorption of activated lobster skin by varying the particle size (-50+100, -100+140, dan -140+200 mesh) and the adsorbent weight (1, 2, and 3 gram). This ion Zn(II) adsorption study was initiated by lobster skin activation using HCl 0,1 N solution, finding the equilibrium point and then ion Zn(II) adsorption process with variation o particle size (-50+100, -100+140, dan -140+200 mesh) and the adsorben weight (1, 2, and 3 gram) that will be analyzed using AAS tool. The results showed that the activated lobster skin balance time was 90 minutes, while the lobster skin adsorption effect of the best Zn(II) ion with -100+140 mesh particle size and the weight of 1 gram of adsorbent was 99,2978 %.
Key words: Adsorption, Absorption Power, Zn(II) ions and Leather Lobster.
