Cooking oil in general is used for cooking and can usually be used up to 3-4 times frying. Used cooking oil will be discard item or waste from households and industrial factories frying if not recycled will be waste that contaminates the environment. This research aims to create a transparant soap from waste cooking oil that has been clarified. The stages in this research is the purifying the cooking oil, making transparent soap and soap testing. In the process of waste cookong oil purification, variations in the use of wood charcoal as an adsorbent are 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 gram. The result of oil purification is used as raw material for making transparent soap. From soap testing result got free alkali value and pH fulfill SNI that is 0,0796% and 10, while for water content value exceeding SNI limit equal to 19,64% on variation of weight of wood charcoal 12 gram
