Penentuan Kinerja Bahan Bakar Dari Campuran Minyak Jelantah Dan Solar Yang Diolah Dengan Adsorben Kapur Barus Pada Kompor Tungku Sumbu Minyak Tanah
A mixture of waste cooking oil with diesel fuel there has not been used people to fuel stove the stove. During this time, many people used the oil land on the stove, but the price is very expensive. This study aims to look for materials alternative fuels substitute oil ground to the stove furnace wheelbase. To get the performance of the fuel best eaten do a variety of treatment ratio a mixture of waste cooking oil-diesel fuel (1:9, 2:8, 3:7, 4:6 and 5:5) and before the mixture is used as fuel first processed with an adsorbent camphor ((5,10,15,20 and 25 grams). Furthermore the separated camphor from a mixture of waste cooking oli and diesel, then the fuel mixture is ready for use. The performance of the fuel is determined based on the color of the flame and the time it takes to bil one liter of water. The research results obtaided that the performance of fuel is best to have the flame color blue yello and the time to boil one liter of water in eight minutes. This fuel is a mixture of waste cooking oil with diesel at a ratio of 1:9 and ansorbent 15 grams. The characteristic of this fuel among others density 0,82, viscosity 4,07 mm2/s, calorific value 46,838 MJ/kg and flash point 90oC.
