Bagansiapiapi is the capital district which is occupied by some activities such as economic sector, marine, farming, garden, forest, tourism, and service. If it was looking in social and culture side, Bagansiapiapi has lots diversity of tribe and culture in which the most popular every year’s event is Bakar Tongkang. It was making Bagansiapiapi that visited in tourism sector. In other side, Bagansiapiapi also has natural potency in seaboard area in which it can be develop as one of tourism destination. Tourism activity related to with souvenirs necessary. However tourists still can difficulty to find souvenirs because souvenirs shop still separate and spread. It was being reason why Bagansiapiapi needed a place to produce Rokan Hilir unique gift, especially Bagansiapiapi. As a tourism service, handcraft center and souvenirs related to ecotourism perhaps can be recreation and education tools in learn of Malay culture. It will apply one of Riau traditional architecture namely Malay Rokan Traditional Architecture. In with use Malay Rokan traditional architecture as emphasis of design process, so by this process gets Malay Rokan traditional architecture treasure. The base design idea is Rokan Hilir’s original culture (handcraft and souvenirs). It is going to rise up of Rokan Hilir local characteristic in which architecture from Malay Rokan architecture to transform in design process. The result of that show like pattern and shape applied into Handcraft Center and souvenirs design that include zoning, mass order, outdoor planning, mass formation, indoor planning and structure.
