Efektivitas Kinerja Instalasi Pengolahan Limbah Cair (Iplc) Dalam Penurunan Nutrien (Nitrat Dan Fosfat) Limbah Cair Tahu Terhadap Kelimpahan Fitoplankton Di Perairan Sungai Tarai
In tofu industry, fresh liquid waste commonly kept in waste processing pond to increase its quality before being flown to a river. A research aims to understand the effectiveness of tofu liquid waste processing ponds in reducing N and P and the effects of processed waste input toward phytoplankton abundance in the Tarai River, a study has been conducted in February-April 2017. Samplings were conducted three times, once/ month. The wastewater samples were taken from the drainage canal (St1), in the 1st pond (St2) and in the outlet of 2nd pond (S3). The water were also sampled from the river (200 m before the outlet and 50 m after the outlet) for phytoplankton abundance study. There were differences in the values of water quality parameters of the samples taken from the 1st and 3rd stations, temperature was 30.9oC - 29.96oC, pH 5.26 - 6.26, nitrat 0.68 mg/L - 0.47 mg/L (the effectiveness 8.25-50% ) and fosfat 6.8 mg/L - 5.23 mg/L (the effectiveness 3.44 – 24.6%.) respectively. Phytoplankton abundance in the St4 was 810 cells/L – 1,840 cells /L and in the St5 was 500 cells /L – 1,860 cells /L and it means that there is no effects of processed wastewater input in the river toward the abundance of phytoplankton in the river.
