Pengaruh Investasi Dan Konsumsi Terhadap Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja Di Kota Pekanbaru

This study aims to examine the influence of investment variables, consumption of labor absorption in Pekanbaru City.This study uses secondary data types in the period of 2005 - 2015 which comes from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Riau and Central Bureau of Statistics Pekanbaru. In this study using descriptive analysis method and quantitative anlisis method with multiple linear regression analysis method by using SPSS 21.0 analysis tool by using Log10. The result of research and data estimation through multiple regression method shows that both simultaneously and partially, investment and consumption variables significantly influence the absorption of labor below the level of significance taken α = 5%. This means that if there is an increase in the elasticity of investment and consumption variables by 1 percent, then the rate of employment will increase as much as each coefficient value of the variable. Therefore, by looking at these two variables that have a significant influence on employment absorption, Pekanbaru City Government in particular and the Central Government should pay attention to these two variables in every policy taken related to the absorption of labor force in particular and economic growth in general.
