Upaya Greenpeace Dalam Menangani Illegal Fishing Di Thailand Tahun 2010

Thailand is a country which has a lot of capabilities on marine resource, on of them if fishing. Unfortunately, in the year of 2010, Thailand has done several activities that harmed the marine environment by its Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing. Simultaneously, Thailand is using immigrant slavery to do the IUU until it ends by overfishing. Concerning this problem, Greenpeace do the campaign of “Not Just Tuna” with its 12 Priorities that aids Thailand to reduce the IUU and restore the marine environment.
This research is an analytical research that aims to explain how Greenpeace’s role in Thailand countering IUU. With Constructivism as the grand theory towards this research, it would be helps to examine how Greenpeace persuades the people of Thailand to join the campaign against IUU.
Greenpeace’s role in against IUU in Thailand based on its campaign “Not Just Tuna” and the 12 Priorities. In this research, I found that the IUU in Thailand has been reduced because the movement by Greenpeace and the people of Thailand who joins the campaign. In short, Greenpeace showed the effectiveness about the campaign to counter the IUU in Thailand.
