Komunikasi Instruksional Dalam Pendidikan Pembentukan (Diktuk) Bintara Polri Di Sekolah Polisi Negara Polda Riau
Pendidikan Pembentukan (Diktuk) Police Bintara is an education to form and prepare students to become members of the Police who have the knowledge, skills, abilities, resilience, attitudes and good behavior in order to carry out the police duties. The success achieved by the graduates of Police Bintara and the position of the Police Bintara who are in the society who need services and helps from the police will almost certainly deal with police officers with the rank of Bintara, this shows that their education has great success and influence on their duty later. In the learning process of Pendidikan Pembentukan (Diktuk) Police Bintara at Sekolah Polisi Negara Polda Riau, educators use instructional communication. The purpose of this research is to know the instructional communication method used by educators in learning process of Pendidikan Pembentukan (Diktuk), instructional media used by educators in learning process of Pendidikan Pembentukan (Diktuk), and communication barrier that happened in teaching and learning process of Pendidikan Pembentukan (Diktuk) Police Bintara at Sekolah Polisi Negara Polda Riau.
This research used qualitative research methods presented by using descriptive analysis. Informant of this research was educators (educators and instructors) and students of Police Bintara which was chosen purposively. Techniques of collecting data used were interview, observation and documentation. Techniques of data validity used in this research is extension of participation and triangulation.
The results obtained showed that instructional methods used by educators in teaching and learning process are lecture, Q & A, demonstration and simulation method. Instructional media used by educators in delivering the lesson is visual media and teaching aids. Barriers of educators and students’ instructional communication in the learning process include cultural barriers and communicants’ barriers. In cultural barriers, researchers found the differences between norms and regulations adopted previously by students with those applied in Pendidikan Pembentukan (Diktuk) so that students are overwhelmed in self-adjustment. In communicants’ barriers, there are physical barriers of Police Bintara students, the heavy activities and learning process make students feel tired and sleepy easily.
