Efek Berbagai Sumber Nitrogen Pada Pengomposan Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Kandungan Senyawa Humik
Compost with high levels of humic compounds has some benefits for soil. Therefore the efforts to get oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) compost with high levels of humic compounds need to be done. This study aimed to determine the effect of various natural sources of Nitrogen on the humic compounds content in OPEFB compost. This research has been carried out at the research station in the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Riau, Bina Widya Campus km 12.5 Simpang Baru, Tampan District, Pekanbaru. The study was conducted for 2 months from December 2017 to January 2018. Field experiments were carried out using a completely randomized design that consistof four treatments and four replications, so there were 16 experimental units in this research. Each experiment consists of 20 kg of OPEFB. The treatments were N0 : without Nitorgen, N1: 10% Blood Powder, N2: 10% Tofu, N3: 10% Mucuna bracteata. The results showed that various sources of nitrogen affect to the content humic compounds of compost that made from OPEFB. The nitrogen source that produces highest humic compounds content on OPEFB compost is Mucuna bracteata.
