Abstract: This study aims to determine the application of media realia to improve the ability to speak at children aged 5-6 years in KB Tarbiyatul Hasanah Village Batang Meranti Merbau Island District Meranti Regency .. The method used in this study is a classroom action research (Classroom Action Research ) With the number of research subjects as many as 10 people consisting of 2 boys and 8 girls. Technique of collecting data in this research is observation and documentation. Data analysis technique used in this research is technique percentage. Results of research conducted media realia can improve the ability to speak at children aged 5-6 years in Kb Tarbiyatul Hasanah village meranti meranti merbau island meranti island district. Increased activity of teachers can increase the activity of children, it can be seen that the activities of students and in turn will improve the ability to speak children from cycle I to cycle II. In the first cycle of speaking ability of children with MB criteria (Start developing) the average value obtained is 44.55%. In cycle II the average value obtained is 80.62% with the criteria of Growing Very Good (BSB). Thus, there is an increase from cycle I to cycle II of 81.09%. This means that the ability to speak the child can be improved through the use of media realia.
