Hubungan Usia Awal Pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI (MP-ASI) dengan Status Antropometri pada Anak Usia 9-12 bulan
Abstract
Complementary Foods (MP-ASI) are given to infants older than 6 months to meet nutritional needs other than breastfeeding. This study aimed to determine the relationship of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) with anthropometric status on children aged 9-12 months at posyandu working area in Puskesmas Harapan Raya Pekanbaru. Design in this research was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. Samples were 61 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using proportional random sampling. The instrument used is an observation the early age of complementary feeding with anthropometric status. Univariate analysis used to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using chi-square test. This study showed that administration given complementary feeding (MP-ASI) on time as many as 48 respondents (78.7%), and not on time 13 respondents (21.3%) in the provision of complementary feeding (MP-ASI). This research also found as many as 2 infants (3.3%) had poor nutritional status, 43 infants (44.1%) with good nutritional status, and 3 infants (4.9%) had very good nutritional status. From Chi-Square analysis with Kolmogorov-Smirnov alternative test obtained the p value (1,000) > α (0,05) that means that there is no significant relationship between the early age of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) with anthropometric status in children aged 9-12 months at posyandu working area in Puskesmas Harapan Raya Pekanbaru. Suggestions for parents to provide complementary feeding (MP-ASI) to their child age and always monitor the child's development and growth.
