Strategi Pengembangan Industri Jasa Usaha Klinik Kecantikan Di Kota Pekanbaru
This research was conducted in the beauty clinic business services industry in the city of Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to find out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and determine the industrial strategy of the beauty clinic business services industry in the city of Pekanbaru. This study uses secondary data and primary data obtained directly from the business behavior of beauty clinics in Pekanbaru City, amounting to 13 business units. Data collection techniques used are interviews, questioners and documentation. The analytical method used in this study is quantitative descriptive. The analysis tool used is SWOT analysis. The results of the study show that the strength of the beauty clinic business services industry is having adequate initial sources, good service, skilled workforce, good quality services and products and strategic location. While the weaknesses in financial statements are still simple, lack of promotion through social media, limited number of employees, no website to make it easier to get information and product packages and treatments that are the same as others. Opportunities are developing economic conditions, densely populated activities, lifestyle changes which emphasizes appearance, sophisticated and modern technology and has registered a business license, and while the threat is the emergence of competitors with similar products / services, newcomers are easy to enter the market, there are substitute products (substitutes), consumer tastes are rapidly changing and selling price competition. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis shows that the beauty clinic business services industry in the city of Pekanbaru is in quadrant I (aggressive strategy). This strategy is more focused on the SO strategy (strength-oportunity), namely by using the power to take advantage of opportunities. So the development strategy undertaken is to maintain the quality of products / services produced to meet the market and also utilize strategic locations and utilize the skills and expertise of the workforce in providing the best service.
