Analisis Efisiensi Produksi Usahatani Sayuran Di Kota Pekanbaru
Pekanbaru city is a city with harvested area and the production of vegetable crops fluctuates with the downward trend every year. There are several risks and constraints faced by vegetable farmers in Pekanbaru city, such as seasonal constraints, perishable nature, fluctuating prices, diversion of land functions, and pests and deseases. Efficiency of vegetable farm production including technical efficiency, allocative efficiency, and economic efficiency wil be calculated by using DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) which is non-parametric method based on Linear Programming. The result of the analysis in this study are: First, most vegetable farming are technically inefficient, this is because the vegetable farming techniques that farmers do not fit the way it should. Secondly, most vegetable farming are inefficiently allocated,this is because the excessive use of input. Thirdly, vegetable farming in Pekanbaru city is most of inefficient economically, this is because most of farmers are technically inefficient and inefficiently allocated. There needs to be a policy from related local governments regarding the development of specific localita cultivation techniques, participation of government and farmers in implementing vegetable farming in accordance with the recommendation of vegetable farming techniques issued by the agricultural service or related offices, it is necessary to control the price of inputs and increase the selling price of vegetables.
