Sintesis Katalis Γ-Mn-Tanah Terkontaminasi Minyak Bumi (TTM) Dan Aplikasinya Terhadap Degradasi Rhodamine B Dengan Metode Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP)
Contaminated soil supported catalysts were successfully synthesis via oxidation processes with potassium permanganate (KMnO4) and tested in heterogeneous activation peroxymonosulfate (PMS) for Rhodamine B degradation in aqueous solutions. Catalyst series consist of support various as high and low Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) composition. Physical properties of catalysts were characterized by several techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Nitrogen gas adsorption-desorption (BET) and Scanning electron microscope-energy disperse spectroscope (SEM-EDS), for absorbance of Rhodamine B samples at before and after degradation process were analysis using UV-Vis spectrophotometer measurement. Degradation activity of catalyst with the High TPH better than Low TPH composition. XRD result indicated that catalyst formed MnO2 compound and highly effective in heterogeneous activation of peroxymonosulfate and generation of sulfate radicals for Rhodamine B degradation. MnO2 on High TPH catalyst could degradation 80.84% Rhodamine B (76.95% COD) with in 3 hours, at the operation conditions 10 mg/L Rhodamine B concentration, 0.1 g/L catalyst concentration, 0.2 g/L peroxymonosulfate concentration at 30oC. Degradation reaction of Rhodamine B follows first order kinetics and activation energy was obtained as 45.64 kJ/mol.
