Pengaruh Limbah Cair Rumah Makan Yang Difermentasi Dengan Em4 Limbah Terhadap Pertumbuhan Chlorella Sp. Pada Media Aquades
EM4 fermented restaurant liquid waste is rich in organic materials and can be used as nutrient source for growing Chlorella sp. A study aims to understand the best concentration of the waste has been conducted in July – August 2018. The waste was added to aquades and there were 4 treatments applied, P0 (0%), P1 (25%), P2 (40%), P3 (55%). Then 100 ml of Chlorella sp. cultured was mixed with 5 L media and cultured for 14 days. Parameters measured were the abundance of Chlorella sp., the algae biomass, Nitrate, phosphate, dissolved oxygen, free CO2 and chlorophyll a concentration, pH and temperature. Results shown that the best media was P2 (40%), with Chlorella sp. abundance was 8.265.000 cell/ml, and the biomass was 0,32 gr/L. The highest nitrate concentration was in 1st day 5,76 mg/L and reduced into 0.38 mg/L in the 14st day. Phosphate concentration gradually decreased from 14,38 mg/L in the 1st day and became 0,22 mg/L in the 14st day. Nitrate and phosphate decrement indicate that those materials have been used by the algae. Data obtained shown that fermented restaurant liquid waste can be used as nutrient source for growing Chlorella sp. Key word : organic material, fermented liquid waste, algae culture, nutrient source
