Kejadian Sindroma Mata Kering Yang Diukur Dengan Schirmer Test Pada Pengemudi Bis Transmetro Pekanbaru
Dry eye syndrome or keratoconjunctivitis sicca is a dry condition of the corneal and conjunctival surface resulting in reduced tear function. One of the risk factor dry eye syndrome is environment and could be examined using Schirmer test objectively. The study aims to know prevalence and risk factor dry eye syndrome on driver. The study was conducted at Terminal Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru since October 2018 to February 2019 using the cross sectional design to discover the prevalence and risk factor of the dry eye syndrome with total of 65 respondents driver who work in Transmetro Pekanbaru. A total of 65 study sample consisted of 100% males and with the highest frequency of 40-49 for 47,7%. The result showed that there were 37 respondent of dry eye syndrome (56,9%) and high frequency of 40-49 and more driver who work >5 years and driving motorcycle >6 hour/week. Risk factor was found on driver is Smoking and pterygium.
