Analisis Konsentrasi Nitrat, Fospat, Silikat Dan Hubungannya Dengan Kelimpahan Diatom Di Perairan Tanjung Tiram Kabupaten Batu Bara Provinsi Sumatera Utara
The inclusion of water nutrients from human activities (residential, agricultural and industrial) could potentially lead to a change in physics, chemistry and biology in the waters. This study aims to determine the relation of the concentration of Nitrate, Phosphate and Silicate with diatom abundance in the Tanjung Tiram waters. The method used is a survey method, the determination of location of the sampling location was done by purposive sampling, data analysis using stasistik analysis (regression). Based on the results of laboratory analysis Nitrate concentrations ranging from 0.0819 to 0.1167 mg/l, Fosfat concentrations ranging from 0.1002 to 0.1526 mg/l and silicate concentrations ranging from 0.4447 to 0.5418 mg/l. diatoms abundance in the Tanjung Tiram waters ranged from 156.9 to 302.8 ind/l. The results of the statistical analysis of the relation between Nitrate, Phosphate and Silicate with the abundance of diatoms are expressed by the equation Y = 350.906 – 58.065Nitrate – 2644.624Phosphate + 440.363Silicate. This statement explains the concentration of Nitrate and Phosphate associated negative (-) on the abundance of diatoms and related Silicate positive (+) on the abundance diatom. This condition indicates that the concentration of nutrients in these waters is relatively high which affects the abundance of diatoms.
