Faktor Pendorong Mahasiswa Menjadi Waria (Studi Kasus Masalah Transeksualisme Waria Di Kota Pekanbaru)

This research entitled the driving factor of the students Became a drag Queen in the city of Pekanbaru (a case study of the problem of Transeksualisme Transvestites In Pekanbaru). The purpose of this research is to know the flow of student life profession as a drag Queen in the city of Pekanbaru. Focus of the research topic is whether Motivation that encourages students to become transvestites in the city of Pekanbaru. The research takes as many as 5 people only. Purposive Sampling technique the author uses in determining the respondents in this study. The author uses descriptive qualitative methods and data were analyzed qualitatively. Data instruments are observation, interview and documentation and terpimppin. The study found that in the life of the campus and off-campus life, the subject did not identify himself as a drag queen. When a research subject, being dikampus and acts like a regular student. The subject of the research is to build relationships that are common with the campus. However there are some suspicions of their campus regarding the identity of the subject of the research profession as a transsexual. Responding to suspicions of fellow one campus, there are research subjects who try to cover up with a meeting and some were let his teammates know about their identity as transsexual. In everyday life, the subject does not mask the fact that he was a transsexual. Even the subject feels that there is nothing that needs to be hidden from the public. from research conducted, researchers found the motivation that drove the subject to become a transsexual is because of economic needs and to find his true identity.
