Faktor-Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Motivasi Lansia Hipertensi Dalam Memeriksakan Tekanan Darahnya Secara Rutin
Hypertension is a disease that tends to occur in the elderly is a silent killer. If it is not routinely controlled it can lead to various complications and even death. To prevent the occurrence of complications of hypertension, it is necessary to control blood pressure by providing motivation to the elderly so that the elderly can check their blood pressure regularly in health services. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the motivation of elderly hypertension in checking blood pressure. This study uses a descriptive correlation design. The study was conducted in the working area of Payung Sekaki Health Center. The number of samples of 86 respondents were taken according to inclusion criteria and using purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a valid and reliable questionnaire. Chi-square test results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and motivation of the elderly in checking their blood pressure routinely with p value = 0.04 < α = (0.05), there was a relationship between family support for elderly hypertension with elderly motivation with p value = 0,000 < α = (0,05), there is a relationship between the support of health workers in elderly hypertension with the motivation of the elderly with p value = 0,031 < α = (0,05) and there is no relationship between distance of residence to health services with motivation in check blood pressure regularly it is known p value = 1,000 > α = (0,05). The results of this study are expected to be used as a source of information about the factors associated with the motivation of elderly hypertension in checking their blood pressure.
