Pengaruh Rekrutmen Dan Seleksi Terhadap Komitmen Organisasi Dan Kinerja Pengemudi Blue Bird Pool Pekanbaru
The driver's lack of optimal performance is indicated by the many complaints received by the company. This is due to low organizational commitment, so every month the company opens up new driver vacancies to overcome turnover. Supposedly, if this recruitment and selection is effective, it will be able to filter out highly committed drivers and are expected to improve overall performance. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of recruitment and selection on organizational commitment and driver performance of Blue Bird Pool Pekanbaru. The technique of collecting data used questionnaire distributed to 167 drivers. The data obtained were analyzed using path analysis.
Based on the analysis of the study, it was concluded there is a significant effect of recruitment on organizational commitment. By prioritizing the Pekanbaru regional workforce in addition to being able to absorb labor in the regional unemployment, it will also increase its commitment to the company. There is a significant effect of selection on organizational commitment. With the personality test in the selection process, it will screen potential drivers who can maintain passenger comfort and reduce complaints. There is significant direct effect of recruitment on performance. With good recruitment, prospective drivers can better understand all the terms and policies on quality driver recruitment practices in order to be able to show higher performance. There is significant direct effect of selection on performance. With good selection, management can be more optimal in screening experienced, qualified and competent workforce to improve convenient transportation services. There is a significant effect of performance on organizational commitment. With the existence of a high driver's performance, they will make every effort for the progress of the company which indicates increased organizational commitment. There is an indirect effect of recruitment through performance on organizational commitment. Existence of effective recruitment will be able to determine the driver who truly has a high commitment, showing totality in work. There is an indirect effect of selection through performance on organizational commitment. With effective selection management can filter prospective drivers who can truly adapt, be able to maintain passenger comfort, want to work in accordance with company procedures and have strong work intention so that they will become a driver who is fully committed to their work and able to maintain their performance consistent.
