Tourism contribution is a contribution or income that has been given by
beach of Indah Kalangan to the income of people working in the tourism sector.
This study objective to determine the form of business carried out and to find out
how much contribution the beach of Indah Kalangan has given to the people who
work as businesses in the coastal area of Indah Kalangan. This research was
conducted in April 2019 on the beach of Indah Kalangan, Kalangan Indah Village,
Pandan District, Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatera Province. The
method used is the survey method by conducting observations directly into the
field by collecting data through interviews based on questionnaires. The
population in this study are data on the number of households as many as 12
household who work as businessmanoinotheocoastaloareaoofoIndahoKalangan.
The results of the study indicate that the types of business that exist in
the Indah Kalangan beach area are homogeneous, where the types of business are
of one kind, namely stalls and restaurants. The contribution of beach Indah
Kalangan marine tourism to the level of income of the people of Kalangan Indah
Village who work in the tourism sector is an average of IDR 1.909.428 (39,23%)
from the average overall income of the household of the business that is
IDR 4.867.762 per month. The level of income from the tourism sector in the
coastal area of Indah Kalangan are classified as middle class, where the average
income level of the respondents ranges from IDR 1.500.000 to IDR 2.499.000 per
month by 10 respondents or 83,33%.
