Laju Pertumbuhan Azolla Microphylla Pada Media Air Payau Dengan Salinitas Yang Berbeda
ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in Juni – July 2018 in The Marine Biology Laboratory Majoring in Marine Sciene at Fisheries and Marine Faculty University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth rate (colonies total, wet weight, absolute weight biomass, and growth doubling time) Azola microphylla in brackish water in different salinity. The method used in this study is an experiment consisting of 2 experiments, namely Exsperiment I ( giving salinity directly) and Exsperiment II (giving salinity in stage). Based on the result of the study it was found that the probability value of Experiment I for the Colony Total and Wet Weight Sig < 0,05, so that the average Colonies Total and Wet Weight differed significantly in each culture media. In Experiment 2 the probability value for Wet Weight Sig > 0,05 so that the average Wet Weight didn’t differ significantly in each culture media, while the probability value of the Colonies Total in Experiment II was Sig < 0,05, so that the average Colonies Total was significantly different at any culture media. In this study, the H1 hypothesis was accepted where there was a difference in the growth rate of A. microphylla cultured in brackish water with different salinity.
