ABSTRACT

Tanjung Mutiara Sub-district is the only sub-district in the Agam Regency of West Sumatra Province that has the potential and focuses on its development in the capture fisheries sector. The purpose of this study was to analyze the technical and financial aspects of the gillnet capture fisheries business at PPI Tiku. This research was conducted on July 19-31 2018 in PPI Tiku. The method used in this study is a survey with sampling using purposive sampling method and determining the number of samples using the sampling formula according to Suparmoko (2002) with the number of respondents 10 people. The analytical method used is the method of technical analysis and financial analysis. Based on the technical analysis, the dimensions of the gillnet fleet at PPI Tiku are generally made of wood with a length of 10 meters and a width of 1 meter. From the financial analysis examined for the gillnet capture fisheries business in PPI Tiku, the following results are obtained for the BCR value of 1.4, the FRR value of 30% and PPC for 1 year 3 months 15 days. Based on the technical and financial analysis, it can be stated that the gillnet fishing business in the PPI Tiku can be said to be feasible to continue.
