Prediksi Lama Studi Mahasiswa Menggunakan Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan Metode Backpropagation

ABSTRACT


One of the assessment of the quality of a college is graduates. This becomes an important task for universities to monitor their students in order to pass on time, thus affecting the improvement of the quality of the college. The old prediction system of student study using Artificial Neural Network backpropagation method with Matlab 2016b is expected to improve students who graduated on time. This research uses data of alumni of Electrical Engineering Faculty of University of Riau in academic year 2010 until 2014 as many as 110 data, consist of 77 data train and 33 test data. The research which is prediction of the old study of students using artificial neural network backpropagation method with input parameters used are Gender, IP Semester 1, IP Semester 2, IP Semester 3, IP Semester 4, IP Semester 5 and classify students into 2 classes, right and too late. The results of the system test obtained 93% accuracy, with the combination of training parameters using epoch 1000, learning rate 0.01, goal 0.001, hidden layer 15.
