ABSTRACT
The manufacturing environment as one part of the economic aspect that also experienced the same thing in various fields.New trends in manufacturing environments have an impact on product operating costs. The aims of this study is to determine whether there is a significant influence between Total Quality Management on operational performance and mediating cost efficiency.Data is distributed and collected by using sample random sampling techniques to the respondents.The sample of this study was employees in the field of palm oil production at PT. Nusantara V Sei Artificial Plantation with a total of 100 respondents.
The analytical method that used to determine the influence between variables is a structural model with a path analysis approach.The results of this study indicate that the application of TQM has a significant effect on Cost Efficiency, TQM has a significant effect on Operational Performance. Cost Efficiency has a significant effect on Operational Performance, TQM has a significant effect on Operational Performance through Cost Efficiency
