Kajian Pengendalian Pencemaran Sungai Siak Menggunakan Pendekatan Model Wasp
Siak River is one of the national strategic river located in Riau Province which has a very important function in the economic development of the locally, regionally and nationally. At present, Siak river has become an issue as a river that was polluted. The main objective of this research was to establish the reduction of Siak river contamination load on BOD, COD and TSS parameters about maximum and minimum dependable discharge with WASP modeling approach. River pollution control was done by analyzing the existing condition of Siak River, the influence of each parameter level to the maximum dependable discharge and minimum dependable discharge and the percentage of pollution load reduction to meet the quality standards appropriate class II regulated in PP. 82 Year 2001.
The research was conducted by processing the data from field survey to get the existing data that has been done by the team from official agencies. The pollution load capacity was determined by the result of the model simulation on each parameter.
The results showed that dependable discharge influences the river pollution load capacity tested from BOD, COD and TSS levels. If the river flow was high then the river can receive a large pollution load. Each of the parameters contamination loads at maximum depandable discharge is +7.595 kg/day, +177.742 kg/day and +173.074 kg/day. At minimum depandable discharge is +3.235 kg/day, +75.536 kg/day and +65.134 kg/day. The percentage of pollution load reduction of paramaters on maximum and minimum dependable discharge to meet the the quality standards appropriate class II by 75%, 50% and 25%.
