Pengembangan LKPD Berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dan Kemandirian Belajar Peserta Didik Pada Materi Ikatan Kimia Kelas X Di SMA/MA
The research that has been carried out is the development of LKPD (Student Work Sheet) based on PBL (Problem Based Learning) to improve critical thinking skills and learner independence of students in class X Chemistry Bond material in SMA / MA. This research is motivated by the condition of teaching materials contained in the field that have not facilitated students in improving critical thinking skills and learning independence of the participants and are not in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum. In accordance with K-13 demands. LKPD is only used to evaluate the learning results of students who are given at the end of learning or used as homework. So the purpose of this research is to develop PBL-based LKPD on valid, easy and effective Chemical Bonding materials used as independent learning materials for students in learning activities, to improve critical thinking skills and student learning independence.
This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the steps of Borg and Gall which consists of 10 stages, namely 1) Research and Information Collection, 2) Planning, 3) Develop Preliminary Form of Product, 4) Preliminary Field Testing, 5) Main Product Revision, 6) Main Field Testing, 7) Operational Product Revision, 8) Operational Field Testing, 9) Final Product Revision,10) Dissemination and Implementation.
The data collection techniques in the research, namely validation questionnaire, educator response questionnaire, student response questionnaire, student learning independence questionnaire and critical thinking skills test. The data analysis techniques used in the study were quantitative descriptive analysis by calculating the percentage of validation values, educator responses, student questionnaire responses and student learning independence questionnaire. The results of data analysis obtained the validity in the content, presentation, language, graphics, and in the characteristics of Problem Based Learning aspects respectively 98.3%, 98.3%, 93.3%, 95.8% and 100% with valid categories.
The level of ease and attractiveness is obtained through the response of educators and students as PBL-based LKPD users. Through the questionnaire responses of educators and students obtained the average score of the response of educators and students to PBL-based LKPD respectively 95.8% and 96.13% with the criteria very well used.
The results of the application of PBL-based LKPD on Chemical Bonding material are 1) PBL-based LKPD developed can improve critical thinking skills and students' learning independence as evidenced by paired sample t-test test with a significance value of 0.00
