Analisis Kapasitas Daya Dukung Cerucuk Pada Tanah Gambut dan Lunak di Kabupaten Siak
Generally, the problems which occurred on constructions on peat soils are related to shear problems. The mechanism of equilibrium failure can occur on the soils with low bearing capacity, due to the weight of soil itself. This research was about wooden bearing capacity on peat and soft soils.
In this research, the single wooden model and group model were embedded into three kinds of different soils i.e., peat, swamp, and soft soil with the group wooden model of 0 space. Those wooden were embedded on soils and were kept for 24 hours long. Next, the soils were added with some reinforcements consisted of mahang wood (Macaranga hypoleuca), by keeping the soil`s shear strength unchanged. The expectation of this researach was to produce the increments of soil`s bearing capacity by giving reinforcements of single wooden model and group model.
In this research, there were some increments of soil`s bearing capacity which were reinforced by single wooden model. On peat, it was 14,65%. On swamp, it was 10,94% and 0,72% on soft soil. The largest increment of soil`s bearing capacity by single wooden model was on peat, i.e. 14,65%. As for group wooden model, it was 52,06% on peat, 70,31% on swamp, and 59,72% on soft soil. The largest increment of soil`s bearing capacity by group wooden model was on swamp, i.e. 70,31%.
There were some efficiency for group wooden piles. They were 0,87 on peat, 1,64 on swamp, and 20,75 on soft soil.
